asked the Minister for Finance if he will introduce legislation to amend the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) Act, 1938, so as to put Deputies on the same basis in regard to military service pensions as Government and Local Government servants, who have such pensions suspended or abated by reason of their being in receipt of other moneys from State funds.

I do not intend to introduce legislation as suggested in the question.
