asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that there are bogs in the Cahirciveen and Killorglin areas suitable for the cutting of turf by machinery; and, if so, if he will arrange to have a survey made of these bogs.

I am informed that the Turf Development Board, Limited, is arranging for an early inspection of bogs in County Kerry with a view to ascertaining their suitability for the production of turf by machinery. The Cahirciveen and Killorglin areas will be included in this inspection.
