asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state when it is proposed to put the new waterworks scheme for Achill Sound into operation; and the reasons for the delay in the matter.

Plans and specification for the provision of a water supply at Achill Sound were furnished to the Department recently. Before a decision on the proposal can be reached it will be necessary to get additional particulars, which the local authority is being asked to supply.
