asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that there are bogs in South Kerry suitable for machine development; if he will state if Bord na Móna has yet carried out a detailed survey of these bogs; and, if so, what bogs An Bord consider suitable for machine development.

I am informed by Bord na Móna that a detailed survey of the South Kerry bogs has not yet been made and no decision as to their suitability for machine development has been taken.
