asked the Minister for Justice if he will state how the various samples of spirits taken by the Garda Síochána are disposed of; and if, in future, he will make arrangements whereby these samples, when finished with, will be distributed to hospitals for aged people who require stimulants.

The disposal of such samples is a matter for the relevant local authority. I understand that the practice is, in fact, on the lines suggested by the Deputy—that is, they are sent to hospitals and county homes.
