asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that there is a non-residential estate in Lucan, known as the Waldron Estate, comprising 1,000 acres, available for distribution amongst uneconomic holders and landless men; and if he will state why he has not taken the necessary steps to acquire the land for division.

At the present time, acquisition proceedings by the Land Commission are generally confined to lands situated in the congested counties. No action has, accordingly, been taken in respect of the Waldron Estate, near Lucan, County Dublin.
