asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number of dropped calves slaughtered for home use, in each of the years 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1946, and for the period to the end of April, 1947.

I am not in a position to supply the information asked for as the only particulars of slaughterings of calves available in my Department are those in respect of slaughterings for export at premises registered under the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Acts, 1930 to 1938.
