asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the present weekly cost of providing: (a) the dietary scale for untried prisoners; (b) the dietary scale for ordinary prisoners; and (c) the dietary scale for long-term prisoners, as set out in Appendix C to the memorandum, dated 1st October, 1947, accompanying the revised edition of the Prison Rules (1947).

The figures calculated to the nearest even sixpence per week are: (a) 10/-, (b) 9/-, (c) 11/-.
