asked the Minister for Finance if his Department's engineers have yet made a detailed survey of the pier at Reenard Point, Valentia Harbour, with a view to an improvement scheme being carried out there; and if not, if he will state if it is intended to proceed with this survey in the near future.

The delay in dealing with the matter has arisen as a result of the reluctance of the Kerry County Commissioner to contribute towards the cost of any scheme of improvements and consideration of the case is proceeding in the light of this development.
