asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the approximate date that the Brosna drainage work is likely to commence in Offaly.

As I stated on 14th April, it is expected that works on the Brosna scheme will commence next month.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary give any indication of what the rates of wages will be?

That is a separate question.

What they were on the Shannon scheme—21/-.

Order!

It was 21/-.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary please wait until the discussion is ended over here?
