asked the Minister for Health whether his Department has received a letter from the Limerick Mental Hospital authorities seeking sanction for the appointment of 11 temporary nurses to the permanent staff; and, if so, whether he proposes to sanction these appointments.

I received the application referred to on the 1st April and I have conveyed sanction for an increase of ten attendants in the permanent establishment of the Limerick Mental Hospital.
