asked the Minister for Local Government to state the total amounts he proposes to make available to county councils and other road authorities: (a) from the Road Fund; (b) by special Exchequer grant, for the repair, restoration and maintenance of main and county roads.

Final figures are not yet available, but it is expected that approximately £3,300,000 will be made available out of the Road Fund, the income of which will be augmented, if necessary, by borrowing or otherwise.
