asked the Minister for Local Government whether a housing grant has yet been issued to Mr. Michael Murray, Ardnasella, Oughterard, County Galway, and, if not, whether he will state the cause of the delay and when it is proposed to issue this grant.

An application for a reconstruction grant in this case was received in August, 1947, but it was found that the proposals were such as to render the applicant ineligible for a grant. In January last the applicant submitted revised proposals which appear to conform with statutory requirements. On receipt of an estimate of cost of the work a grant will be allocated. The Department's inspector will advise the applicant in regard to the estimate.
