asked the Minister for Finance whether he will issue immediate instructions to the Office of Public Works to proceed with the work of pier development at Murrisk fishing depot in view of the fact that a scheme for the development of this pier was ready last January, and all that is awaited is the necessary sanction.

So far as I am aware no plans or specifications have yet been prepared for this proposal. An inspection, however, was made, and the cost was provisionally estimated at £8,000. A work of this magnitude is beyond the scope of the minor marine works administered by the Special Employment Schemes Office for the relief of unemployment.
