asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is in a position to give an indication as to the quantity of certified seed potatoes likely to be exported in the current season, and the price to be paid at the port of shipment.

The total quantity of certified seed potatoes of the 1948 crop likely to be exported is 30,000 tons. There is no uniform price at port of shipment, but f.o.b. prices per ton range from £12 to £16 approximately, according to variety.
