Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fenit Harbour Viaduct.

James P. Pattison Mr. Pattison (for Mr. Spring) National Labour Party

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether the documents received by his Department in connection with the proposed new viaduct at Fenit Harbour and sent by him to the harbour board engineer have since been returned; and, if so, when it is likely that the work will be approved and begun.

Comment on this

The documents in question were returned to my Department on the 2nd March and examination is proceeding. It is not possible to indicate the date on which the works will be approved and begun.

Comment on this

Will the Minister indicate what is the cause of the delay in carrying out the work?

Comment on this

Did the Deputy hear my reply: "The documents in question were returned to my Department on the 2nd March and examination is proceeding?"

Comment on this

Can the Minister indicate when it will be carried out?

Comment on this

I replied to that also: "It is not possible to indicate the date on which the works will be approved and begun."
