asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he would consider giving a bi-weekly sailing service to Aran Island in lieu of the single sailing at present.

The Government have recently decided to increase the subsidy for the operation of this service to enable the Galway Bay Steamship Company to provide a second weekly sailing. I hope that the necessary arrangements can be concluded with the company at an early date.
