asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each county the number of Garda barracks, the building of which was sanctioned by his Department in the period the 18th February, 1948, up to March 31st, 1949.

The building of one Garda station, at New Ross, County Wexford, was sanctioned in the period from the 18th February, 1948, to 31st March, 1949. In addition, sanction was accorded for the acquisition of sites with a view to the erection of new Garda stations at the following centres:—
