asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he proposes to de-ration tea and sugar soon and to make these essential commodities available to all classes at 2/8 lb. for tea and 4d. lb. for sugar.

It is not at present proposed to abolish tea and sugar rationing. Under present arrangements the rations of tea and sugar are available to all domestic consumers at the prices mentioned by the Deputy.
