asked the Minister for Education whether he will consider substituting Cork County Borough planning area for Cork County Borough as the appropriate area for the payment of rent allowances for national teachers, so that teachers in schools in the suburbs of Cork may receive the same rent allowance as that paid to teachers in schools in the county borough.

I am looking into the matter raised by the Deputy, but I cannot give any suggestion of promise that it will be found possible to do as he suggests.

Is the Minister aware that the same situation arises in relation to secondary teachers who teach in schools in the suburbs of Cork, and will he also look into the position as affecting these secondary teachers?

In so far as the question put by Deputy Sheehan goes, I am looking into the matter.
