asked the Minister for Finance if he will state whether regulations have been made permitting serving civil servants to engage in business in competition with ordinary taxpayers.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies given by the then Minister for Finance to similar questions on the 28th March, 1944, and the 27th September, 1944. The instructions then in force still govern the participation of civil servants in business.
