asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire any of the large tracts of land in the Mayo Abbey and Balla areas which are available for acquisition and distribution amongst uneconomic landowners; and, if so, what lands it is intended to acquire.

From the information supplied it is not possible to identify the "large tracts of land" the Deputy has in mind. The Land Commission have proceedings in respect of different lands in this area.
