asked the Minister for Finance if he will state whether his Department have received notification from the Department of Local Government of the urgent necessity for the carrying out of a sewerage scheme at Castletownroche, County Cork, and whether he is prepared to make a grant for the purpose of improving the primitive conditions that have existed there for many years, and, if so, the amount of the grant.

On the recommendation of the Department of Local Government, a grant of £2,520 has been sanctioned towards the cost of a sewerage scheme at Castletownroche, County Cork, and I am informed that this grant has been notified to the North Cork County Council.
