The Irish Tourist Board was established in 1939, but it was not until 1947 that a grant was made by the board towards the publicity expenditure of the Irish Tourist Association. Since 1947 the following grants have been paid to the association by the Tourist Board:—1947, £8,970; 1948, £15,271; 1949, £8,000; 1950, £7,933 (to date).
