asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the demand for a swimming pool at Roscrea, County Tipperary, and if he will state whether a grant will be made available for its construction.

No proposals for the provision of a swimming pool at Roscrea have been received from the local authority.

The question of financial assistance towards the cost of such works in appropriate cases is being examined, but in present circumstances, housing, sanitary services and other essential works have prior claim on finance, materials and labour.
