Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Studdert Estate (County Clare).

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the Studdert estate, Cullane, Kilkishen, County Clare, for division amongst the adjoining smallholders and landless men and if he will arrange for the letting of these lands for tillage and grazing to smallholders pending their acquisition.

Comment on this

I presume the Deputy has in mind the lands of Cullaun, the property of the Minister for Defence, and formerly part of the Studdert estate. These lands, being State property, cannot be acquired by the Land Commission.
