asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of dividing the Carters estate at Newbawn, Kilsallaghan, amongst local applicants; and, if so, with what result.

This estate has not yet been taken over by the Land Commission, and a scheme for its allotment has not been completed. The claims of all applicants are always fully considered and this case will be no exception.
