The number of males 14 years of age and over, excluding farmers and members of their families assisting in the home farms, permanently engaged in farm work in County Cavan on 1st June in each of the years 1949 and 1950 was 1,588 and 1,479 respectively. Corresponding particulars for females are not available. The figure for 1950 is provisional.
