asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the number of local authority houses provided in each of the years 1932 to 1939 and 1946 to 1950 (a) by direct labour, and (b) by contract.

The statistical material available does not readily permit of the extraction of particulars in the precise form requested by the Deputy but I trust that the particulars which I am giving will prove adequate. As these particulars are in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Chinn Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Reports.
