asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the widespread public misconception of the facts, he will inform the Dáil of the manner in which an attempt has been made to hold the Government and people of this country up to ransom by the international cartel which controls the manufacture of cement.

I do not accept the implication in the second part of the question and I have, therefore, no statement to make in the matter.
