asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state how many houses have been built and completed by the corporation in (a) Dublin, and (b) Cork during each of the years 1946-47, 1947-48, 1948-49, 1950-51 and 1951-52 to December 31st, 1951, and how many houses are under construction at present by each corporation.

The following is the statement which is based on information furnished by the local authorities concerned:—

*Nine months to 31/12/1951.
The numbers of houses under construction at the 31st December, 1951, by Cork and Dublin Corporations were 481 and 2,871 respectively.
