asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (a) the number of houses under construction by local authorities throughout the country in January, 1951, and January, 1952, and (b) the number of houses under construction by the Dublin Corporation in January, 1951, and January, 1952.

(a) The total number of houses under construction by all housing authorities at the 31st January, 1951, was 10,201; and at the 31st January, 1952, was 9,376.

(b) The number of houses under construction by the Dublin Corporation at the 31st January, 1951, was 3,482; and at the 31st January, 1952, was 2,687.
