asked the Taoiseach if he will state the total consumption of (a) butter, (b) tea, (c) sugar, (d) flour in 1938-39 and for each year since 1946-47.

TOTAL CONSUMPTION BY PERSONS† OF BUTTER, TEA, SUGAR AND FLOUR IN EACH OF THE YEARS 1938, 1939, AND 1946 TO 1951.

†Including tourist consumption and farm produce consumed on farms without process of sale.

‡Flour consumed as such by persons, i.e. excluding flour used for the manufacture of bread and of flour confectionery by bakeries, etc.

§Adjustment for changes in stocks not available.
