asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware that a large number of employees of Córas Iompair Éireann at Inchicore works have been suspended; and, if so, if he will state why they are not receiving unemployment benefits.

Unemployment benefit was refused in the case of a number of claimants who had been employed by Córas Iompair Éireann at Inchicore as it was ascertained that they lost employment because of the stoppage of work due to the strike of Córas Iompair Éireann electricians.
