asked the Minister for Local Government if the drainage scheme on the river Fisheogue, Laoighis, will be undertaken under the Local Authorities (Works) Act at an early date to relieve the area which has suffered considerably from the flooding of this river.

This scheme is included in the approved programme of works for which a grant has been allocated to Laoighis County Council in the present year. I am not aware when the council intend to start work on the scheme.
