asked the Taoiseach if he will state the amount of milk (in gallons) received by creameries in the Republic in each of the years 1938, 1948, 1950, 1951 and 1952 to the latest available date.

The total quantity of milk received by central creameries and cream - separating stations registered under the Dairy Produce Act, 1924, was 211,637,000 gallons in 1938; 169,936,000 gallons in 1948; 222,973,000 gallons in 1950; 206,242,000 gallons in 1951; and 203,315,000 gallons in the period from 1 January to 19 November, 1952, which is the latest date up to which the information is available. The figure for 1952 is subject to revision.
