asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when apprentices will be accepted in the naval dockyard, Cobh.

Proposals for the establishment of a scheme for the introduction of apprentices into the naval dockyard at Haulbowline have been considered by my Department. As consultation with the different interests involved is necessary, some further time must necessarily elapse before a decision can be taken.
