asked the Taoiseach if he will state, in respect of industries producing transportable goods (a) the number of persons engaged; (b) the average hourly earnings of industrial workers; (c) the average weekly earningsof industrial workers and (d) the average hours worked per week, for December, 1952.

The estimated number of persons engaged in December, 1952, in industries producing transportable goods was 128,855 and the average hourly and weekly earnings of industrial workers were 2/5.2d and 110/.2d. respectively. The average hours worked per week by industrial workers were 45.2.
