asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the income from sales of stamps under the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942, the expenditure on supplementary benefits in the year 1952 and the amount of the Supplementary Unemployment Fund at the end of 1952.

The income from sales of stamps under the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942, in the year ended 31st December, 1952, was £51,487, and the expenditure on supplementary benefits in the same period was £75,994. The balance in the Supplementary Unemployment Fund at the 31st December, 1952, was £48,179.
