asked the Minister for Lands if he will indicate the present state of the Land Commission proceedings for the acquisition of the Kirwan estate at Gardenfield, Tuam, County Galway.

The proceedings in this case were held up pending the enactment of the Land Act, 1953. It is expected that judgment will be given shortly by the Appeal Tribunal, on the owner's appeal on the question of price.
