The survey of the Corrib-Clare catchment, the scheme for which is at present on exhibition, was commenced in June, 1948, and the field work was completed in December, 1951. The number of engineers employed on this survey, as on others, varied from time to time according to the general staffing position and the commitments of the engineering branch of the Office of Public Works. The average number engaged on the Corrib-Clare catchment survey was six.
