asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of new industries established since 13th June, 1951.

The number of new industries, including extensions to existing undertakings, which came to the notice of my Department as havingcommenced production during the period 13th June, 1951, to date is 187. There may, of course, be others of which there is no official record to date.
