Seán Moylan Minister for Education (Mr. Moylan) Fianna Fáil

The question of increasing the capitationgrant to secondary schools is under consideration.

Comment on this

In view of the fact that many of our smaller secondary schools cater for the children of the middle and lower classes of our citizens and are solely dependent on this present capitation grant for an existence, will the Minister ensure that the matter will be fully investigated before the beginning of the next scholastic year?

Comment on this

It is being investigated.
