asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether, in view of the unanimous desire of the members of Cork County Council to retain the services of their county manager, he will extend the retiring age limit in the case of this official.

On his retirement on the 3rd December next I propose to reappoint the Cork County Manager until such time as his successor is appointed.
