Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Proposed Cork Airport.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (i) what authority will operate the proposed airport at Ballygaroan near Cork; (ii) the type of airport envisaged, and (iii) its exact location.

Comment on this

The Cork airport will be a State airport but arrangements for its management have not yet been settled. The airport will be suitable for internal, cross-Channel and European air services, and it will be constructed in the Ballygaroan area about four miles south of Cork City. Its exact location will be settled when a detailed survey of the area has been completed.
