Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Monaghan Mineral Deposits.

andMr. Mooney asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state by whom the survey of mineral deposits in County Monaghan was conducted in 1953 and whether the result of this survey is available for inspection in his Department.

Comment on this

A general geological survey of mineral deposits in County Monaghan was not carried out in 1953 and the second part of the question does not, therefore, arise. In the course of its ordinary duties, however, the Geological Survey Office undertook the examination of certain mineral deposits in County Monaghan in 1953.

Records and reports on the mineral deposits in County Monaghan are open for public inspection at the Office of the Geological Survey.
