asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state whether it is proposed to inquire into the administration of Radio Éireann; further, if he will request the director of broadcasting to give favourable consideration to the reinstatement of Mr. Patrick Begley as announcer.

It is not my intention to inquire into the administration of Radio Éireann in which I have every confidence.

I do not propose to interfere with the authority of the director of broadcasting in regard to ordinary staffing matters.
