asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the drainage scheme on the Foerish River, County Sligo, has yet to be completed, and, if so, if he is prepared to sanction an extra grant under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, to complete the work.

I understand that the Sligo County Council are nearing the completion of the work on this river which they originally planned to carry out, and that they are submitting a proposal for further work on it. This will be considered when received.
