asked the Minister for Local Government if he will request local authorities to ensure that, when granting permission for the erection of new churches, adequate car parking space is made available.

Except where such cases come before me on appeal, I have no power to require planning authorities to make their permissions for the erection of buildings such as churches contingent on the fulfilment of any general or special conditions.
