asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction a grant under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, for the cleaning of Buckley's river at Birdhill, County Tipperary.

The preparation of schemes under the Local Authorities (Works) Act and their submission to the Department in connection with available grants are matters for the local authorities. There are no proposals before the Department at present in relation to this river.
